About Filsan Talent Partners
Comprehensive services tailored to assist your needs.
Filsan Talent Partners is a woman-owned business that addresses barriers that exist between area employers and employees. We help our clients attract and retain the workforce through cultural competence training services. We connect our clients to immigrant communities and bridge the cultural barriers.
Hudda Ibrahim and the team have extensive experience in building bridges between businesses and immigrant communities. In 2015, Hudda’s desire to work with individuals to help them reach their full potential led her to become a trainer, mentor, and active coach at Saint Cloud Technical and Community College.
In 2016, Hudda applied for and received a grant that allowed her to research cultural integration and the bias toward refugees. She immersed herself in their experiences and developed strategies to gain and promote trust among community members. Understanding the necessity to hold onto values, while also respecting customs in the United States to maintain cultural competence prompted Huddha to pen “From Somalia to Snow.” She knew then that she had found her niche and needed to continue to pursue it.
Filsan Talent Partners began because there was a need in the community, and Hudda set out to fill it in a way no one else could. There was no one in the new American community trying to create a bridge or trying to educate business communities of the advantages of diverse culture. Hudda saw the opportunity and took it.
Hudda recruited her husband, Abdi Mahad, to manage the legal side of the business. He also assists with translating and training services. Abdi holds BA in Business Adminstration, MA in Computer Science and another MA in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language).
Megan Kalk joined the team soon after and has taken on a large role within the company, focusing on marketing and research.
